"Z-axis home h/w fault" with ACQUITY SM-FL - WKB282235

SYMPTOMS

• "Z-axis home h/w fault" error message
• Error only in certain positions

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager - Fixed Loop (SM-FL)

CAUSE

The top part of the needle has come away from the fixture/grove and flexed upward, interfering with homing of the sensor flag.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Loop the needle around the front, beneath the plastic hook, instead of behind in the groove.
