OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Troubleshoot an HDX-2 bending needle issue. (To troubleshoot, we need to understand why the position is off. Listed below are a few possible causes and how to correct.)

ENVIRONMENT

• HDX-2
• CTC PAL-3

PROCEDURE

• The teaching process is not completed properly. All three corners of the tray must be completed. Check the teaching after the teach PAL Module process to be sure.
• The sliding lid is incorrectly positioned or not fully locked.
• Even when properly teaching and checking positions with one tool, there could still be a crash when the other tool is used if the tools are not properly calibrated. Recalibrate both tools carefully.
• As a last resort, reset the reference point. This requires all tools to be recalibrated and all modules to be re-taught.
  Note: if you re-teach the reference point, shut down the PAL and restart it again before proceeding with the subsequent tool calibration and module teaching. This extra step ensures that the reference point is stored properly.
