PROCEDURE

  1. Use a 1/16" OD stainless steel tubing cutter (Part Number WAT022384)
  2. Determine the proper 1/16" OD Internal Diameter tubing for use or replacement.
  3. Have the proper ferrules and compression screws available for use.
  4. Have two 5/16-inch wrenches and/or two 1/4-inch wrenches.
  5. Place tubing cutter on the tubing and turn it multiple times till it has been deeply scored.
  6. Use two pliers and flex the scored area until it breaks. Make sure the tubing end is not cut uneven. (Optional Tubing Straightener Part number 700008702)
  7. Place the new ferrules and compression screws on to cut tubing.
  8. Set the ferrules and compression screws by using a union (Part Number WAT097332).
  9. Unscrew the assembled fitting and verify that the length of tubing extending beyond the ferrule is 0.12 inch (3 mm) clipboard_e3d20247ff2cdef43ff2d36862e20be23.png
