OBJECTIVE or GOAL

How to replace a standard probe/capillary assembly on an ACQUITY QDa detector.

ENVIRONMENT

  • ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector

PROCEDURE

  1. Stop system flow and put the QDa into Standby mode.
  2. Unscrew the capillary from the column manager, detector, or ISM outlet.
  3. Unscrew the connection at the top of the source enclosure cover and remove the capillary from the source enclosure probe guide.
  4. Carefully drop the replacement capillary through the source enclosure probe guide and tighten the connection to the QDa. Do not force the capillary down.
  5. Reconnect the capillary to the column Manager, detector, or ISM outlet.
