How to calibrate to 8000 m/z on a 4K quadrupole - WKB87887

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Calibrate up to 8000 m/z on a QToF system with a 4K RF generator using NaI.

ENVIRONMENT

• Vion IMS QTof
• SYNAPT G2-S
• SYNAPT G2-Si
• SYNAPT XS
• Xevo G2-S
• Xevo G2-XS

PROCEDURE

1. Use a manual quad profile with the following settings as a starting point, and adjust accordingly:
   Cone Voltage: 150
   Quad Profile: 100, 2000, 3940
   Dwell Time: 10, 25
   Ramp Time: 25, 40 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

- On a Vion, changing the MS profile does not invalidate the mass and CCS calibrations that are already acquired for up to m/z 1000 and up to m/z 2000.

- After the calibration is successfully performed, return the quad profile to the proper settings for use in data acquisition.
