Communication lost between 2998 PDA detector and MassLynx - WKB72897

SYMPTOMS

• Communication lost to 2998 Photodiode Array (PDA) Detector
• Resetting the PDA through the Console results in a spinning donut cursor

ENVIRONMENT

• 2695 Separations Module
• 2998 Photodiode Array Detector
• ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector
• MassLynx

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Close MassLynx software.
2. Restart the MassLynx PC.
3. While PC is restarting, power-off all components, including the QDa.
4. Log in to Windows but do not start MassLynx.
5. Power-on all components. Wait for all components to complete initialization.
6. Open MassLynx.
