Intermittent signal on the Quattro Micro - WKB64697

SYMPTOMS

• Signal drops out and then recovers

ENVIRONMENT

• Quattro Micro GC
• Quattro Micro

CAUSE

On Quattro Micro GC fitted with the HP7890 GC and Quattro Micro instruments, it is possible the Ethernet switch unit is faulty.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Connect the network cable from the Host PC directly to the instrument and test communications are OK.
2. If an extra network card is not available for communications, then replace the Ethernet switch unit.
