SYMPTOMS

• The mass spectrometer starts acquiring immediately upon starting the sample list
• Inlet method does not run
• No injection cycle
• Found: Event in 1 is selected in the Inlet Configuration, Events and Triggering

ENVIRONMENT

• ZQ 2000
• ACQUITY UPLC
• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager
• MassLynx 4.1

CAUSE

Poorly connected contact closure cable on the back of the ACQUITY ManagerUPLC Sample

FIX or WORKAROUND

Properly connect the contact closure cable in the terminal block on the back of the ACQUITY Sample Manager.
