IntelliStart failed the Resolution setup for a Xevo TQ-S - WKB4758

SYMPTOMS

• IntelliStart failed Resolution setup
• Resolution failed for peak at m/z 772.4
• Peak width at half height for:
  • m/z 172   fwhh = 0.77
  • m/z 772   fwhh = 0.54
  • m/z 1072  fwhh = 0.53
  • m/z 1971  fwhh =  0.58
• Found: peak intensity at m/z 172  = 1.41 e8
• Found: peak intensity at m/z 772  =  1.29 e8

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQ-S
• IntelliStart Resolution Setup

CAUSE

The spectral peaks at m/z 172 and 772 are saturated.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Adjust setting on Resolution tab in tune page to bring peaks within specification.
2. Adjust probe position to decrease the signal strength.
