SYMPTOMS
- Leak from oil pump mist filter
- No oil in backing pump
ENVIRONMENT
- ACQUITY RDa Detector
CAUSE
- Blocked ballast valve assembly; oil not siphoning back into pump
- Oil mist filter container becomes full and leaks
- Backing pump runs dry
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Remove the gold filter cartridge from oil return line and sonicate it in IPA to clean.
- Rebuild the oil return line using the Oil Return Kit (6060131).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Replace the oil mist filter as well, if needed. Part Number = 6060123 - Filter Oil Mist EMF20
