Very low signal in the mass spec chromatogram for the SQ Detector 2 - WKB262578

SYMPTOMS
- Very low signal for the MS chromatogram; no peak detected
- Signal for the PDA chromatogram is normal; all expected peaks detected
- FOUND: Capillary Voltage readback is 0.09 kV for a setting of 3.0 kV
- FOUND: Phospor and Dynode voltage readbacks are both 0 kV
- Rebooting EPC does not help
ENVIRONMENT
- SQ Detector 2
- MassLynx
CAUSE
Unknown communication or electronics glitch
FIX or WORKAROUND
- From the Tune page, vent the SQD2 (Vacuum > Vent).
- Close MassLynx and the ACQUITY MS Console.
- Power-off the SQD2, and wait about 1 minute.
- Power-on the SQD2, and wait for the chime at the end of the boot sequence.
- Open MassLynx and the MS Tune page.
- From the Tune page, start the vacuum system for the SQD2 (Vacuum > Pump).
- When the turbo pumps reach 100%, turn on the API gas and put the SQD2 into Operate.
- Verify that the readbacks for the Capillary, Dynode, and Phosphor are now correct.
