Ion suppression caused by impure mobile phase
FIX or WORKAROUND
Make up new mobile phase using a different batch of solvent.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This was reported after changing methanol, but it could equally be any solvent.
Because the effect is dependent on the chemical interaction of the analyte and mobile phase, not all compounds are affected by the same amount. Sensitivity could even improve for some analytes.
