SYMPTOMS

• The tune page closes or crashes unexpectedly while running detector setup in Intellistart

ENVIRONMENT

• G2 QTof (Xevo or Synapt)
• MassLynx 4.1

CAUSE

Corrupted non-storage files

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Exit MassLynx.
2. Browse to the C:\MassLynx\Instrument_Folder ex. Fastnet (Xevos) or Bluewater (Synapts), etc.
3. Sort by file type and delete all the exp and ipr files. There should be about 5 of them depending on the instrument. Example:

• autotune.exp
• calibration.exp
• nonstorageexp.exp
• tuneexp.exp
• tuneprm.ipr

4. Open MassLynx, and you should find these files have been re-created and the collision energy is at the set point.
