QDa beam check failure (latched cone voltage) - WKB206113
Article number: 206113
SYMPTOMS
- QDa beam check failure
ENVIRONMENT
- ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector
CAUSE
Latched cone voltage
Any voltage not performing correctly can cause a lack of calibrant beam, resulting in beam check failure.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Open the ACQUITY console and enable service mode.
- Access the QDa tune page.
- Confirm that all voltages are reading back correctly.
- A latched cone voltage can often be corrected by specifying a new cone voltage, switching polarity, or rebooting the QDa.
- When all voltages are reading back correctly, check the beam using calibrant and rerun resolution and calibration setup.
