High mass calibration fails with Vion IMS QTof driver 3.1 - WKB193703
Article number: 193703
SYMPTOMS
- High mass calibration fails despite presence of sodium iodide at sample sprayer from bottle C, and GluFib is delivered to reference sprayer from bottle B
- User starts the high mass calibration from the instrument setup tab, but it terminates without a message

ENVIRONMENT
- Vion IMS QTof
- Vion Driver 3.1
CAUSE
User did not run instrument setup in negative ion mode. Because high mass calibration is now available for both positive and negative polarity (Vion driver 3.1), the high mass calibration depends on standard instrument setup of both polarities.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Complete standard instrument setup for positive and negative sensitivity modes using Major Mix as calibrant and LeuEnk as lock mass.
- Start the high mass calibration in UNIFI using sodium iodide as calibrant and GluFib as lock mass.
