Regular drop in signal (0.4 min) with SYNAPT G2-Si - WKB18266

SYMPTOMS

• Regular signal drop spikes observed on chromatogram every 0.4 minutes

ENVIRONMENT

• SYNAPT G2-Si
• SYNAPT G2-S
• MassLynx

CAUSE

Trap and Transfer vacuum gauges on the vacuum tab of the tune page are seen to drop and recover with signal drop. 

The issues stems from a faulty argon supply regulator, which is not able to deliver stable outlet pressure of 7 psi.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the regulator.
