Unable to apply voltage to corona pin in ESCI mode - WKB1632

SYMPTOMS

• Cannot apply a voltage to the corona pin in ESCI mode
• Can apply voltage to corona pin in APCI mode

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQD
• MassLynx 4.1

CAUSE

The settings for the scope view windows on the Tune page are not correct.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Above the scope view, in the Ion Mode pull-down list, set at least one line to APCI.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

In APCI mode, the Tune page changes all settings to this mode. In ESCI mode, the system alternates between ESI and APCI mode. To control both from the Tune page, at least one of the four lines in the settings above the scope view (where the masses are entered when tuning) must be set for each mode in the Ion Mode pull-down list.
