QDa event table (with divert valve events) cannot be saved in Mass Detector mode in Empower - WKB13078

SYMPTOMS

• Entries in event table are not saved when using Mass Detector mode; they are lost when the method is closed.

ENVIRONMENT

• QDa
• Empower software and Instrument Control Software (ICS) versions prior to v1.68

CAUSE

Software Defect: QDa event table (with divert valve events) cannot be saved in Mass Detector mode in Empower with an ICS version earlier than 1.68.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Workaround: Use "Advanced" mode in the Events tab to create and save the events table.
2. Permanent solution: Upgrade Instrument Control Software (ICS) to v1.68 or later.
