System status in MassLynx shows "Inlet Not Ready" - WKB124755

SYMPTOMS

• System Status on MassLynx main page shows "Inlet Not Ready"
• Status in the Inlet Method shows Ready as green and OK as red
• No error message shows the ACQUITY MS Console for any of the individual components of the system
• LC > Reset communications from the Inlet method editor does not resolve
• Double-click on red OK LED shows communication error with ACQUITY UPLC Column Manager

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class
• MassLynx 4.2

CAUSE

Communication issue between ACQUITY UPLC Column Manager and MassLynx

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open the ACQUITY MS Console.
2. Select the Column Manager in the System list on the left-hand side.
3. From the Control Menu, select the RESET CM option.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note: In the ACQUITY MS Console, in the Control menu for each of the individual components of the system, there is a RESET option that can be used to do a soft reset of each component.
