SYMPTOMS

Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM) Dynamic leak test failing with "Primary unable to compress" error.

Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM) Dynamic leak test failing with "Accumulator unable to compress" error.

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class Bio
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM)

CAUSE

Seals do not hold pressure. Need to rebuild pumphead.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Perform pump head maintenance (See parts required below)

• Can replace parts individually

  • Seal Wash Housing Seal (700002598)
  • O-Ring, 2-016, FEP (WAT076152)
  • Plunger (700002600)
