2487 detector displays warning message "Wavelength span 370nm Order Filter not in use for 370nm" - WKB9816
Article number: 9816
SYMPTOMS
- Customer is running the 2487 detector in Dual-Wavelength mode
- Customer is running wavelengths at 240 nm and 410 nm
- Warning message: Wavelength span 370nm Order Filter not in use for 370nm
ENVIRONMENT
- 2487 Dual-Wavelength Absorbance Detector
CAUSE
This error is caused by a wavelength of 240 nm being entered along with a wavelength of 410 nm. The second-order filter accepts wavelengths that are either both above or both below 370 nm. You cannot bracket wavelengths with one above 370 nm and one below 370 nm.
FIX or WORKAROUND
Set both wavelengths below or above 370 nm, which activates the second-order filter.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This information is in the 2487 Operator's Guide (WAT048740) under the "Changing from Single to Dual Wavelength Mode" section.
The second-order filter conditions hold true for an ACQUITY TUV as well.
