H-Class QSM lost communication with Empower - WKB98075

SYMPTOMS
- All modules except the QSM are communicating
- Resetting the QSM from the console does not resolve issue
- Instrument failure message in the Run Samples window
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 3
- ACQUITY UPLC H-Class
CAUSE
Faulty battery causes the QSM to lose the serial number.
FIX or WORKAROUND
Update the system with the unserialized module, and then update the serial number from the console. This is a temporary fix to get back up and running. You need to replace the battery for the QSM and then update the serial number.
