1525 HPLC degasser vacuum pump does not turn on - WKB96515

SYMPTOMS

• The degasser light is orange or does not light up
• The pump pressure is fluctuating causing retention time shifts

ENVIRONMENT

• 1515 Isocratic HPLC pump
• 1525 Binary HPLC pump
• 1525 Micro Binary HPLC pump

CAUSE

A power surge or brown out caused the vacuum pump to turn off. Flipping the power switch on the degasser module does not correct the issue.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Power cycle the 1515/1525 pump ensuring that the degasser power switch is on. The degasser will now initialize and pump down.
