To install the PATROL Corflags.exe for Windows 10.
ENVIRONMENT
PATROL UPLC Process Analysis System
PROCEDURE
- Download and install the latest “.NET Framework Developer Pack" from the following link: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/visual-studio-sdks. It is located under the unsupported section as of August 2024.
- Once installed, search the PC for the corflags.exe file.
- Navigate to the corflags.exe file and open a command prompt window. In this example, the file was in the C:\Program Files (86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v10.0A\bin\netfx 4.7.2 tools folder.
- Drag and drop the corflags.exe file into the command prompt window. The prompt should look like this (file location and executable):
“C:\Program Files (86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v10.0A\bin\netfx 4.7.2 tools\Corflags.exe”
- At the end of the text already in the window, manually type: /32bitreq+ c:\empower\instruments\bin\patrol.scr.
- The command line should look like this:
“C:\Program Files (86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v10.0A\bin\netfx 4.7.2 tools\Corflags.exe” /32bitreq+ c:\empower\instruments\bin\patrol.scr
(must have a space after Corflags.exe” and after 32bitreq+). - Press Enter to initiate to command and set the 32-bit flag.
If the PATROL software is reloaded, repeat this procedure.

Execution of these instructions will result in a change to the PATROL.scr file being noted in Verify Files. e.g.
