Alliance 2795 error: Needle malfunction, bottom sensor error - WKB90189

SYMPTOMS

• Needle malfunction (bottom sensor) error
• X axis error
• Y axis error
• Restarting 2795 does not solve the issue

ENVIRONMENT

Alliance 2795

CAUSE

Sample needle is misaligned.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Restart 2795.
2. Take control of 2795 and click Menu/Status to access the Diagnostics screen.
3. Click Other Diags.
4. Scroll through options and select "Change needle", click "OK", and follow prompts.  You do not need to change the needle.  Going through the motions of this diagnostic measures the  deck offset and recalibrates the sample needle height.
