2998 detector monitors baseline but does not collect peaks - WKB8925

SYMPTOMS

• Baseline is monitored
• When an injection begins, no data is collected

ENVIRONMENT

• 2695 Separations Module (IEEE)
• 2998 Photodiode Array Detector (Ethernet)

CAUSE

The combination of IEEE and Ethernet instruments requires an inject start cable to collect data.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Use a signal cable (WAT048918) to connect slots 1 and 2 of the B side I/O connection of the 2695 to slots 1 and 2 of the A side I/O connection of the 2998.
2. Make sure the polarities match accordingly.
