SYMPTOMS

• High pressure on an ACQUITY UPLC H-Class Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM)
• Cleaning with warm water does not resolve the issue
• Different columns do not resolve the issue

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM)

CAUSE

The system is clogged.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Remove column and install an Union.

Flush with 5% formic acid with MeOH: IPA: ACN: H2O.

Flush with H2O until neutralization of pH.
