Alliance SystemsQT Revisions N and P require Emulate 410 mode for 2414/2410 - WKB87381

SYMPTOMS

• No instrument methods in the Instrument Method toolbar in Run Samples for the SQT e2695 2414 Project

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower
• 2410 Differential Refractometer
• 2414 Refractive Index Detector
• Alliance SystemsQT Revision N (part 667003310)
• Alliance SystemsQT Revision P

CAUSE

The SQT projects are developed to run in 410 mode for revision N.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Bring system offline in Empower.
2. Remove the 2414 from the System Configuration.
3. In DIAG menu, change the Detector Mode from RIU to 410.
4. Cycle power to 2414/2410.
5. Remove the 2414 from the Instruments tab of Node properties.
6. The 410 is listed on the Instruments tab as OK Yes.
7. Add the 410 to the System Configuration.
8. Bring the system online.
9. Run SQT testing.
10. Ensure that you return the configuration back to RIU so Empower will again see the instrument as a 2414/2410.
