Seal wash does not prime correctly on H-Class QSM - WKB83011

SYMPTOMS

• Seal wash does not prime correctly
• Solvent filter is new

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM)

CAUSE

Improper priming.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Disconnect the seal wash tube outlet from the drip tray.
2. Introduce a 10-mL plastic syringe at the end of the tube.
3. Launch the "Prime Seal Wash" function from the console menu.
4. Aspirate with the syringe until seal wash solvent arrives at the seal wash pump.
5. Leave the "Prime Seal Wash" function running for a few minutes.
6. Stop the "Prime Seal Wash" function.
7. Reconnect the seal wash tube to the drip tray.
