Cannot connect the solvent tubing to the 417000139 external solvent selector valve - WKB8180

SYMPTOMS

• Unable to make the solvent line connections to the 6 Position, 7 Port Valve Selector (RS232-controlled valve)
• The stator face at the valve uses 1/16-inch fittings and the solvent tubing uses a 1/8-inch fitting

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPC2 Binary Solvent Manager
• ACQUITY UPC2 30-cm Single-Zone Column Manager (CM-30S)
• Part 417000139 - VALVE, SELECTOR, 6 POS. 7 PORT PEEK

CAUSE

A 10-32 thread adapter fitting (reducer) is required.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Order Waters part 410003772 (Fitting, 10-32 to 1/4-28 PEEK Adapter) to make the solvent line connection to the stator face of the external solvent selector valve.
