2424 Poor area and height reproducibility - WKB78751

SYMPTOMS

• Poor area and height reproducibility
• The injection accuracy and  reproducibility of 2695 is accurate and reproducible .
• The baseline noise of 2424 is normal
• The nebulizer spray is normal
• The siphon tube is installed correctly

ENVIRONMENT

• 2695 Separations Module
• 2424 Evaporative Light Scattering Detector

CAUSE

The drift tube has been polluted (contaminated), the dirty material may absorb the sample,or affect drift tube temperature .

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Set nebulizer heater level to 100%,drift tube temperature to 100 degrees and gas pressure to 35 Psi.
2. Replace the column with a union
3. Set flow to 1 ml/min ,flush the system for 4 hours with solvent of Methanol:Acetonitrile:water: Isopropanol =1:1:1:1 added 2% formic acid
4. Set flow to 1 ml/min ,flush the system for 4 hours with solvent of Acetone:water=1:1
