Solvent streams from column inlet tubing during wet prime on Alliance system - WKB73582

SYMPTOMS

• During prime and purge, there is a steady stream of solvent coming from the column inlet tubing
• New seal pack seals

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module

CAUSE

Failure of high pressure valve 1 and high pressure valve 2  

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Rebuild high pressure valve 1 (WAT045424) and high pressure valve 2 (WAT045424).
2. Prime and purge with 100% methanol to ensure that issue is resolved.
3. Run compression check.
