For the Edwards RV5 Rotary Pump

Once warmed, at the oil return input on the pump, rotate the gas ballast knob from 0 to I (Low Flow) or II (High Flow/Maximum Vapour Handling) depending on the amount of vapor in your process.
  • Note: You will hear the pump run a bit louder, and you may notice an odor from the exhaust as volatile materials are flushed out.

Note: Ensure that the pump is returned to non-ballast mode for instrument operation.

To do this, push down and rotate the plug clockwise, so that the flat edges align with position 0.
