OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Ballast the performance pump.

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector
• VACUUBRAND rotary vane pump Model RE 6

PROCEDURE

1. QDa should be in StandBy when ballasting occurs
2. Open the manual ballast valve by turning it so that  the arrow points toward the inlet of the pump (see the photo below)

2. Close the ballast valve by turning so that the arrow points away from the inlet of the pump.
