How to read energy on PDA detector - WKB68243

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Read energy on an ACQUITY PDA.

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC PDA Detector
• 2998 Photodiode Array Detector 

PROCEDURE

1. Lamp should be ON and lit for 60 minutes prior to reading energy
2. Launch the ACQUITY Console
3. In the left-hand tree, click on the PDA.
4. Click Maintain.
5. Click Read energy.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Run with 100% HPLC-grade methanol in the flow cell at 230 nm. Example:

Energy reading above 20,000 counts indicates acceptable optics performance
