FLR Instrument Failure in Empower - WKB67582

SYMPTOMS

• FLR Instrument Failure when trying to set up a method in Run Samples.
• Other Ethernet controlled instruments show "Yes" in node properties.
• FLR shows "No" in node properties.
• Restarting the FLR did not resolve this.

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC
• ACQUITY UPLC PDA Detector
• ACQUITY UPLC FLR Detector

CAUSE

Unknown.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Power-off all ACQUITY components.
2. Restart the LAC/E box.
3. Allow LAC/E box to completely initialize.
4. Power-on all ACQUITY components and allow them to completely initialize.
5. Open Node Properties and verify that all components now say "Yes".
6. Open Run Samples and set up the method.
