SYMPTOMS

• Extraneous peak and/or poor peak shape
• No leaks found
• System passes all SQT tests
• Issue only present when running a specific method
• Same issue with new and old column

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class

CAUSE

Chemistry or sample preparation issue

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the all mobile phases, wash solvents and prepare fresh samples

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If the issue persists with freshly prepared mobile phases ask to look at what is used to make the mobile phases. In some cases they may need to replace the reagents for new or from another supplier not just make fresh.
