Sudden, sharp pressure drop during primary plunger stroke on Alliance 2695 - WKB63811

SYMPTOMS

• Sharp pressure drop during plunger stroke of one actuator on Alliance 2695
• 2-3 seconds after pressure drop, pressure rebuilds to normal level

ENVIRONMENT

• 2695 Separations Module

CAUSE

Salt buildup on the primary plunger and face seals

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Remove the pump head and inspect for salt buildup.
2. Rinse the plunger and seals with water to remove salt, and then reinstall the pump head.
3. Replace the seals if necessary
