ACQUITY QSM, QSM-R retention time shifts after system prime - WKB58099

SYMPTOMS

• Retention time initially shifts to a longer retention time than expected after refreshing solvents and repriming the pump.
• Retention time gradually reverts back to expected retention time after several days and then remains constant until the solvents are refreshed again.

CAUSE

Air within pump

FIX or WORKAROUND

Prime all lines with IPA or methanol for 3 minutes, and then reprime with mobile phases.
