SYMPTOMS

  • Error: Z-axis not calibrated

ENVIRONMENT

  • ACQUITY UPLC

CAUSE

The sample manager battery power is low.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Calibrate the z axis.
  2. If the error occurs again after calibration, replace the battery .The battery can be either of the following:

1) The silver coin 3V battery: WAT080443
OR
2) The yellow square 3V battery: 700001834 (Use the dip extractor tool to remove this : WAT010339

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If the error still occurs, clear the non-volatile RAM on the sample manager.

Check the serial number of the instrument in console and if it has lost the serial number , enter the serial number after replacing battery .
