2695 system overpressure - WKB56518

SYMPTOMS

• System overpressure
• Accumulator overpressure
• Detector flow cell is ok
• Column is ok
• Mobile phases are ok 

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module
• 2695D Dissolution Separations Module
• 2795 Separations Module

CAUSE

Partial clog in in-line filter

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Wet prime the Alliance at 7.5ml/min for 1 min.
2. Back pressure for any mobile phase should be between 100-400psi.
3. If pressure is greater than 400psi then likely there is a partial blockage at the inline filter.
4. Replace the IN-LINE FILTER ASSY (WAT035190).
5. Verify that no further overpressure occurs.
