ACQUITY UPLC BSM or QSM pressure fluctuates - WKB4833

SYMPTOMS

Any or all of the following symptoms may be present:

• ACQUITY BSM or QSM pressure fluctuates
• Pressure dropout
• Fails dynamic leak test and Static Leak test
• Mobile phase coming from the seal wash circuit

• Binary Solvent Manager (BSM)
• Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM)
• ACQUITY UPLC
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC I-Class
• ACQUITY PREMIER

CAUSE

Leak in the pumphead (seals or checkvalves)

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace high pressure seals (Part number 700002599 for H-Class pump / 700009135 for I-Class BSM / 700005418 for Premier pumps) and seal wash housing seals (Part number 700002598 for H-Class pump / 700006048 for I-Class BSM / 700005422 for Premier pumps) in the pump head.
2. Replace Plunger (Part number 700002600 for H-Class pump, I-Class BSM and Premier pumps)
3. Replace the check valve:

- primary check valve: 700002596
- primary i2v check valve: 700003563
- accumulator check valve: 700002968

Part numbers for I-Class ACQUITY:
- primary check valve: 700004139
- accumulator check valve: 700003755

Part numbers for H-Class ACQUITY:
- primary check valve: 700005165
- accumulator check valve: 700005164

Part numbers for ACQUITY Premier:
- primary check valve: 700005414
- accumulator check valve: 700010642
