Wavelength accuracy test fails - WKB46657

SYMPTOMS

• Wavelength accuracy fails with a caffeine max of 208 nm
• Fails after replacing the lamp
• Flow cell was flushed with acetonitrile and then water with 1% formic acid but continued to fail

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC Tunable UV Detector (TUV)
• ACQUITY UPLC PDA Detector

CAUSE

Dirty flow cell

FIX or WORKAROUND

Perform acid/base flush

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If the unit continues to fail, perform a 30% phosphoric acid wash.
