Column Manager General failure - WKB45583

SYMPTOMS

• After running StartUp System, an error appears when a method is loaded. (Note: A method is also loaded when a batch is started.)

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY CM-A in advanced mode
• All Instrument Drivers up until Console version 1.70. Build 2017 12 16

  CM: 1.69 / 1.69

CAUSE

In StartUp System, you have to set parameters for each module in the Equilibrate System tab. The CM tab in that window does not reflect the advanced mode, for example, you can only select a column position and not valve positions. This creates a problem when a method is loaded (even if the method itself is set up for advanced mode).

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Do not use the StartUp System. Prime the modules individually instead.
2. Cycle power for the CM-A module after running the StartUp System.
