SYMPTOMS

• Error message: Filter initialization failure

ENVIRONMENT

• 2487 Dual-Wavelength Absorbance Detector
• 2489 UV/Vis Detector
• 2475 Multi-Wavelength Fluorescence Detector
• ACQUITY UPLC Tunable UV Detector

CAUSE

Bubble in the flow cell

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Flush the flow cell with solvent at 0.5 ml/min for at least 15 minutes.
2. Reboot the detector after 15 minutes with flow on and let it initialize
3. Do a wavelength calibration as per detector manual

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If 100% Acetonitrile does not work, try with 100% MeOH instead
