Dark current error on ACQUITY FLR - WKB3709

SYMPTOMS

• Powered-on FLR and received a dark current error in the console

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY FLR
• Console
• Empower
• MassLynx

CAUSE

Air in the flow cell or dirty flow cell.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Flush FLR with new degassed water at 1.0 mL/min for several minutes.
2. Power cycle the system to run through initialization diagnostics while water is flowing through the cell.
3. If error is still present, flush with MeOH or ACN for several minutes.
4. Switch back to water and flush again for several minutes.
5. Power cycle the system to run through initialization diagnostics while water is flowing through the cell.
