SYMPTOMS

  • Area variation
  • RSD failure

ENVIRONMENT

  • Alliance HPLC
  • 2690/5 HPLC
  • Alliance with 3.04 firmware

CAUSE

Extended Needle Wash mode selection, Run needle wash as both pre and post while sample is in place at needle. This may cause area count variation. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Do not use needle wash mode as EXTENDED in Alliance HPLC having firmware 3.04.
  2. Always use needle wash mode as NORMAL or Double with this firmware.
