SYMPTOMS

  • Interpump communications HW failure on the ACQUITY I-Class BSM occurs every time the run button is pressed in Empower
  • Reset and reboot of BSM does not resolve

ENVIRONMENT

  • ACQUITY UPLC BSM 
  • ACQUITY UPLC I-Class

CAUSE

Cable problem

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Power-off the BSM.
  2. Reseat the cables in the pump (one for each pump).
  3. Power-on the BSM.
  4. Reset the BSM in the ACQUITY Console.
