No control over 515 pump using a pump control module or SFO in MassLynx - WKB30361

SYMPTOMS

• After loading method, the 515 pump flow rate stays at 0 mL/min

ENVIRONMENT

• 515 pump
• Pump control module
• MassLynx
• System Fluidics Organizer

CAUSE

Communication failure; the 515 pump is not set to remote mode

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Close MassLynx and turn off the computer.
2. Turn off the pump control module or SFO.
3. Set the 515 to remote/run mode.
4. Turn on the pump control module or SFO.
5. Turn on the PC and log in to MassLynx.
6. Reset communication.
7. Load the method and verify that the 515 starts and stops through MassLynx.
