SYMPTOMS

• ACQUITY H-Class Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM)

CAUSE

Solvent lines are not properly primed.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Ensure all lines have enough solvent in the bottle
2. Prime all solvent lines for at least 3 mins per line.
3. Attached suitable column to system.
4. Slowly ramp to initial conditions and allow system pressure to stabilize for at least 10 mins 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

QSM pressure readback with column attached should stabilize and delta psi should be less than or equal to 1% of system pressure.
