"Waiting for injection start" message with MassLynx and Autopurification - WKB2818

SYMPTOMS

• MassLynx presents the following message in the bottom-right of the sample list window: "waiting for injection start"
• The acquisition does not start
• Error in Status Log in Collection Control "[1][---] [---] - Timed out waiting for raw data, check the data file"

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• Autopurification
• 3767

CAUSE

The default software settings must be changed to accommodate Autopurification.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Amend the triggering settings in the inlet editor:

1. Open the inlet editor.
2. Click on Tools.
3. Click on Instrument Configuration.
4. Click on Events and Triggering.
5. Set the pump to Trigger by Software (see screenshot below).
